…the airport portion of it, that is:

The Elvis Store at the Memphis Airport

Above and beyond the Elvis t-shirts, keychains, license plate frames, CDs and DVDs, this store also carried Elvis beanie babies, Elvis Yahtzee!, and chocolate from the Presley family’s favorite local candymaker.  Lots of fun.

Contrary to what you might think, the Heartbreak Hotel is located at 3677 Elvis Presley Boulevard in Memphis, according to the website. If you go down to the end of Lonely Street, you’ll just get lost.

Fit for a King

These signs were everywhere throughout the terminal.  I really don’t have anything to add to that.

To be fair, there was a lot of art and signage in the Memphis airport dedicated to the wider Memphis music scene and the civil rights struggle; there was even an exhibit of ancient Chinese artwork.  But the Elvis stuff is funny, at least to me, so I focused on that.

Bless my soul.  What’s wrong with me?
